Wilderness Lakes, a Naco Park - Menifee, California
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Dec 17, 2007
Menifee is only about 70 miles from Palm Desert. We took the back roads because they were familiar, but when we arrived at Menifee we found the streets had been changed to the point that we had no idea where we were. We were thankful for the GPS on the phone which recognized the new streets and could direct us. We parked at another Thousand Trails Preserve called Wilderness. The preserve is near a dairy and occasionally when the wind is in the wrong direction it can smell bad, but it is a nice park with lots of trees and canals running through it. There you also have to go to the adult lodge for WiFi but I did pick it up in the trailer a couple of times since we were so close (site #8).

Palm Springs Thousand Trails - Palm Desert, California
4 Stars  This place was Great visited Dec 10, 2007
We moved about 50 miles east to Palm Desert and parked at the Thousand Trails Palm Springs Preserve. While we were still unhooking the trailer the motor on the truck died and would not start again. The lift-pump in the fuel tank had to be replaced. We are so thankful it did not happen while we were on the highway. The preserve is in a date palm grove. Wifi only at the adult lodge. The site we were in was very large with room in back and in front to park the truck.
lots of space in rear too
Nice wide streets if you turn left from gate

Cherry Valley Ranch - Beaumont, California
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Dec 6, 2007
We stayed at Cherry Valley Ranch for several days in order to attend the MMAP Christmas Party. The park is in a strange location, next to a highway rest stop and under a lot of power lines. The sites are side by side and it really felt crowded. WiFi was in the club house only. They do have a really nice spot down by the club house, but the park suffers from freeway noise.

Visited our nesting materials - Las Vegas, Nevada
3 Stars  This place was Average visited Nov 25, 2007
On Thanksgiving day we drove about 150 miles to Las Vegas and stayed in the Thousand Trails Park there. It’s not a great place to stay because it’s too small for the huge motorhomes they have now days, but it does have green trees and I appreciate that.
We were assigned a site near the wall
At least the park has trees
